Editorial policy

How CompCertQuiz researches, sources, reviews and corrects its CompTIA study guides, cheat sheets and practice questions.

Who writes our content

Articles are published by the CompCertQuiz editorial team, the same team that writes and audits our practice question banks. We are an independent practice-exam company: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CompTIA, and CompTIA and its certification names are trademarks of CompTIA, Inc.

Where exam facts come from

Exam details such as the number of questions, duration, passing score, domain weights and voucher prices are taken from CompTIA's own pages and checked at the time we write or update an article. Technical claims are backed by primary sources, mainly comptia.org, NIST, the IETF (RFCs), OWASP, CISA and IANA, and we link to them in the article.

Exam codes, objectives and prices change. Every article shows the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed, and the version of the exam it covers (for example SY0-701) is stated in the text.

How we keep articles current

We re-check articles when CompTIA publishes new objectives, a new exam version or a price change, and update the last-reviewed date only when the content was actually re-verified. When a new version of an exam is announced, affected articles carry a version note explaining which objectives they cover.

Practice questions

Our practice questions are original material written for exam preparation, mapped to the official exam objectives, and audited for technical accuracy, answer quality and a source reference before publication. They are not real exam questions and we do not use or sell leaked exam content. Practice scores are a study aid and cannot guarantee an exam result. See how we build our questions.

Commercial relationship

CompCertQuiz sells practice exams, so our articles link to our free practice tests and paid question banks where they are relevant. Those links never change what we report about a certification, an exam or its cost. Where a competing or official resource is the better choice, for example the exam objectives on comptia.org, we say so.

Corrections

If you spot an error or an out-of-date detail, tell us through the contact page or at support@compcertquiz.com. We verify the claim against the primary source, fix the article and update its last-reviewed date.
